Sarah Khaled – Fostering a Dynamic Learning Culture With over 22 years of educational experience, Sarah Khaled has taught a wide range of subjects, particularly English, across diverse educational systems including National, American, and British curricula. Her extensive teaching journey spans multiple institutions, reflecting her adaptability and deep commitment to student learning.
Currently serving as the Headteacher and Academic Director of the British School (Years 1–8) at Kayan International College, Sarah previously held leadership roles at The International School of Elite Education, where she led the English Department and acted as Academic Director of the British School.
Sarah is passionate about cultivating strong relationships among parents, educators, and school leadership, always striving to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports both student and teacher growth. Her initiatives include home-school connection programmes, participation in curriculum development, and leading professional development workshops aimed at enhancing instructional practices.
She holds a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Acacia University and earned a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Business School. She has also successfully completed ‘ Building Leadership Capacity’ programme by the British Council Egypt and was acknowledged for her top performance. In addition, she successfully completed the Professional Educator Diploma at the American University in Cairo, ranking among the top ten graduates. Most recently, she earned her AI in Education qualification from Southwest College in Ireland.
Sarah is also an experienced mentor, having guided fellow educators for over a decade. She is committed to sharing effective, up-to-date teaching strategies in ways that are practical and empowering. Her mission is to equip teachers with the tools and confidence they need to inspire meaningful change in the classroom.
A recognised voice in the global education community, Sarah is a frequent guest speaker and presenter at international education conferences. Since 2023, she has participated as a guest speaker at various educational conferences, including ‘Multilingualism by TESOL’ in Dubai and ‘TESOL 30th Annual Conference’ at the American University in Dubai the following year; ‘EdTech Experts’, ‘Schools’ Insights’ days at NCBIS and GEMs schools, Egypt and Riyadh, ‘Cognia Impact’ Conference 2025; Egypt and ‘ISTE and ASCD’ in the USA for two consecutive years.
Sarah believes education is a deeply dynamic field, full of transformative moments. Her guiding philosophy is to be a truly influential educator who brings out the best in both students and teachers. Her vision is a learning environment where every student feels secure, inspired, and excited to learn, while her mission remains to empower educators to make lasting, positive impacts and drive the change needed in Egypt.
